I was going around a popular bookstore chain and like I usually do i headed for the magazine section as I am a magazine freak! Anyhow, I knew there were not any new issues of the popular wedding magazines (specifically Wedding Essentials & Metro Weddings) in the market that I had to get ..merely 'coz i already have them all.!!. So, it was a surprise when I saw another wedding magazine and ,truly, I had to turn my head so fast (that it hurts) to take a second look. I kinda thought it must have been misplaced being in the local magazine section and all...

Then, as if in a daze, I slowly lifted a copy to look at, almost fearing I was merely seeing things.I had to consciously close my mouth as my heart pounded when I got hold of the premier issue of MARTHA STEWART WEDDINGS Philippines. This is THE premiere magazine amongst all wedding magazines I have collected from all over! I glanced at the publisher and saw that it was Summit Media who was responsible for bringing in my favorite foreign wedding magazine to our shores.

I quickly proceeded to the cashier and paid for my copy which is at an affordable Php 295, well worth it, i thought, as I know most brides purchase magazines for reference purposes and even lend them out afterwards. I had to sit down at a nearby coffee shop as I was truly excited to see what the magazine had inside and if it gave justice to its US counterpart. And I was not disappointed. ;-)

Inside are the usual tips that the homemaker & DIY diva Martha Stewart is very well-known for, inside are wedding DIY projects, unique ideas on how to personalize your wedding day and make it truly yours, tips of all sorts and more. There are pages upon pages of stunning gowns that are set apart from what we ordinarily see at todays weddings, cakes that are simply exquisite, floral pieces that are sure to add color to your day and a whole lot more refreshing ideas.

For their premier edition, the editors of Martha Stewart Weddings Philippines featured beautiful real Philippine weddings where upcoming brides can draw inspiration from. Like some other wedding magazines, you can also find a Wedding Workbook which can be removed and made use of by the brides-to-be as well as a Directory (albeit not as comprehensive as others) of popular wedding suppliers at the back.Anyhow, it is the premier issue after all, so it would be quite understandable why the issue is not as thick and as comprehensive as my other favorite magazines.
