Sastrillo-Dimaculangan Nuptials

Turnover-Coordination
Al & Marren booked with us at one of bridal fairs we joined and I distinctly remember Al doing all the talking with Marren smiling and nodding at his side. Her very quiet demeanor and beautiful presence did not go unnoticed though as she had this elegant nature about her.
Throughout the planning process Marren would still be smiling most of the time but she would also give inputs and speak when Al decided to pause..(hahaha..peace Al). Al is such a jolly person to be with and he seemed to be the more anxious one between the two during the preps up until the day of the wedding itself... most of the calls i would receive too were from him. It is very seldom that we see Grooms who are totally hands-on but Al is such a pleasant groom to deal with ..and of course Marren is one type of bride we would love to work with too over and over again!
I remember I was brought for the initial meeting with the fashion icon, Ben Farrales who was making all the gowns. I was told he wanted to meet me so we can discuss the colors and the set-up and all. It was a very enlightening afternoon and was glad I tagged along. The gowns were exquisite especially Marren's.
On the day of the wedding it was super-duper traffic along Edsa upto SLEX and if that was enough, a fire and an accident at the PNR only served to aggravate the situation. When we got to the hotel I was kidding Al on the number of cigarette packs he had managed to smoke already.. he was by the window of his hotel room and watching the vehicles parking below , identifying if they were part of the wedding party... told Marren her groom was more nervous than she was!
Al booked tow (yes 2) slots at St. James the Great , and I must say he had good foresight coz this gave us more time to wait for the members of the entourage caught in traffic. Not to mention that the real reason for this is Al & Marren wanted more time for their personal vows to each other.. which was one of the best ones I have heard, really. So heartwarming and a true expression of the love shared by these two. sigh!
the well-attended ceremony was followed by a reception at Fernbrook Gardens. The festive mood was set by the entrance of the entourage and the special dance number of Al & Marren which almost brought the house down. Al & Marren showed us all the "moves" as the guests cheered them on. The rest of night, needless to say, was just fun, fun, fun!!
It was a very successful event, I must say. All the preparations were worth it, going over-the-budget ("wink") was certainly worth it and truly one affair that everyone will remember for the longest time!
