The Transfiguration Chapel, Caleruega & Nurture Spa, Tagaytay
I first met Pen & Espie at BHS during our initial meeting to discuss our service and their requirements. I remember telling them that Starbucks, BHS has been a lucky place for me because every client I meet there books with BWEM!
Again, I really like it when both the Bride and Groom are totally hands-on with their wedding preps. These two were no exception and we enjoyed how Pen would tease Espie on certain stuff and imitate her... both are such good-natured persons that it was truly a pleasure being part of their big day.
We arrived at Yellow Coco early in the morning to find everyone awake and all excited about the day's event. The team went on to work in preparing some stuff we needed for the reception and soon as I could leave , Lovely & I checked on Nurture Spa where the very able gentlemen of Josiah's Catering were already preparing their set-up.
The wedding was a very well attended affair indeed. The Transfiguration Chapel was filled to its capacity. Guests had to go up the steep staircase and walk quite a bit from the parking area... kinda difficult for those with difficulty in walking or the disabled but we somehow managed to get everyone up the chapel before we started lining-up the entourage. It was a solemn and very heartfelt ceremony at such a lovely church.
The Nurture Spa proved to be a challenge to set-up because we had to ensure that everyone had a good view of all the activities in front. We were told that the present landscape has already been improved by Josiah's Catering, the exclusive caterer of The Nurture Spa, and I guess the arrangement worked out well.
Paulette Dimaano was the perfect master of ceremonies for the evening as the guests had fun during the program at the reception. The highlight was when we had to whisk away Pen for his surprise number without Espie noticing. Now this was a real effort for Pen as, while he could sing, he did not play the piano before. His "Friend's band" helped him out ..I guess they rehearsed several times for this 'coz you would not have guessed that he did not know how to play the piano ..and he was singing too! What a feat! But,well, love does that to people ... (sorry, could not help saying that cheesy line... ;-) ) Kudos to Pen!! Needless to say, our bride Espie was completely taken by surprise! It was such a touching moment , indeed!
This was followed by their first dance ( they rehearsed this with the BWEM peeps during the preps at Yellow Coco) which was so much more meaningful after that surprise number...I swear , you could hear the ahhhs, ohhhs and sighs from the guests...and us as well !! Try to beat that!! It was certainly a serenade that would forever remain ingrained in the hearts and minds of their guests... such sweetness!!
We took some photos which we would like to share and grabbed some as well coz they were of better quality... hahaha... hope these people don't mind..but please feel free to comment if the photo is yours so we could acknowledge you properly.. This is a late post but we would like to congratulate Pen & Espie , yet again, as we heard that they will soon be parents!! Way to go Pen & Espie!! God bless!
